SSH terms of use

Welcome to the SSH Client application, developed and operated by Moon Technolabs (“we”, “our” or “us”). By downloading and accessing our application, you (as a user) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (Terms). In case you do not agree, please do not use the application.

1. Description of application

The application aims to provide the highest quality tools for establishing secure SSH connections to remote servers and network devices. The application carries the following features:

  • Mosh to easily connect a business with a client’s computer over the internet.
  • Gesture controls
  • Configurable ports
  • Customizable keyboard
  • Built-in passcode features
  • ED25519 key generation

2. User responsibilities 

While using our application, you agree to use it only to connect to the system you own and are authorized to access. You must use the application for lawful purposes. You will be solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your SSH keys and login credentials, as well as for all actions performed. 

3. User data

Our app does not collect, transmit, or store user data on our servers or in any external database. All user data, including saved SSH connections, credentials, and app-related information, is stored locally on the user’s device. If iCloud sync or backup is enabled by the user, data may also be stored securely in the user’s personal iCloud account. 

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 4+ years old to access our app and its features. The application is restricted if you do not meet these eligibility criteria.

5. Intellectual property

The design, logo, content, copyright, and other components of the software belong to Moon Technolabs. Therefore, you are not allowed to perform reverse engineering, copy, modify, lease, redistribute, or license this property. 

6. License

We may grant you a license that is limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive to use the application solely for your use. However, this license does not confer ownership of the application, and you are not permitted to sell or rent any component of the application.

7. Prohibited uses

The application is not useful for the following activities:

  • Unauthorized access to the system
  • For any process related to hacking, phishing, or cyberattacks
  • Malware or harmful code distribution
  • Intellectual property rights violation
  • Any other activity that is against the applicable law

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The application is available on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We disclaim all warranties related to accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee an error-free or uninterrupted connection.

9. Security

We provide reliable and industry-oriented security measures for our users. However, no software guarantees complete security. Therefore, we recommend that you use a strong password, protect your private SSH keys, and keep the application updated. You agree to use the application at your own risk.

10. Software update

We may release the latest features and other updates periodically to enhance app functionality and fix bugs. These updates will be automatically reflected by the operating system, but in some cases, the application must be updated manually.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend our service if you violate these terms or engage in any unlawful action. In this case, you are no longer allowed to access our application under any circumstances.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms of use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the app after revised terms reflects your agreement and acceptance of the change. Therefore, we urge our users to go through our terms periodically.
